Buerehiesel restaurant, housed in a 17th-century half-timbered house within the Parc de l'Orangerie, is one of Alsace's most prestigious tables. With a Michelin star, chef Eric Westermann has spent decades reinventing Alsatian cuisine with contemporary techniques.
### The gastronomic experience
The VIP tasting menu features 7-9 courses traversing the essence of Alsace: regional foie gras with Christmas market spices, Rhine pike with beurre blanc and Vosges herbs, and desserts honouring Alsatian orchard fruits. Each course is paired with wines from the private cellar, including vintages from small Route du Vin producers virtually impossible to find on the market.
### The setting
The main dining room, with original oak beams and park views, transports diners to another era. In spring and summer, the Orangerie garden terrace is one of European gastronomy's best-kept secrets. Book at least 3 weeks ahead for the VIP tasting menu. Dress code: smart casual.
